Not sure what to say?

I grew up next to Mrs. and Mr. Wheeler and knew them to be so friendly and kind, even enough to allow me to play in their backyard without even asking. I eventually spoke with Mr. Wheeler frequently as I got older and he brought up the game of chess! Up until then, I only knew him as the friendly neighbor, but after frequently playing chess and learning the game with him, I discovered he had such a humorous and unique personality! It´s always a beautiful thing when you see the soul behind...

RIP Jerry. It was a pleasure growing up next door to Jerry and Peggy, and they both always showed an amazing amount of grace and kindness to the (sometimes rowdy) children who lived around them. He was a very friendly man and always good for a fun conversation, especially about his beloved Wildcats. Jerry´s loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jerry and Peggy were our neighbors for 25 years and we just learned of Jerry´s passing. He was always so friendly and was so kind to our children. May he and Peggy Rest in Peace. Our deepest condolences to their children and family.

John and I worked with Jerry in the Shuttle Main Engine project office at NASA. He was always such a kind and fun guy to be around.

Jerry was a good friend of mine during our NASA career. Gone to soon. Rest In Peace.

Sorry to hear about Jerry passing. We worked together on several projects at NASA, I passed by his home in Madison the other day and wondered if he was still in town.

RIP, Jerry. You were a true and loyal friend and colleague through the years and you will be missed by many. We talked about dogs and clocks and I always admired your chess involvement. See you again in Heaven!
