Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park Obituary

Gerald (Jerry) Loren White 57 of Chittenango, NY, passed away in Avon Park, Florida on January 16, 2024. He was born on June 28, 1966 to Elaine (Green) White and the late  Gerald Lawrence White. Jerry graduated from VVS High School, class of 1985, and then attended Wyoming Technical Institute. He was employed with the United States Postal Service, Syracuse, NY as a truck driver.

He is survived by his son Jerrett L White of Oneida, NY, mother Elaine (White) Stepp of Avon Park, FL, sisters Marcia(Jeff) Chauncey of Avon Park, FL and Michelle (Ben) Myers of Sapphire, NC, multiple nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Lawrence White, Grand Parents, Joseph and Vivian Green of Vernon, NY and Robert and Mildred White of Port Leyden, NY.

Jerry had a love for music, motorcycles, drag racing and antique cars, but his biggest loves were his family, friends and his dog Bear II.
If he wasn’t on his motorcycle, at a concert, a drag race or a car show you’d find him sitting down at his creek with Bear II.
There will be a memorial service/celebration of life in the summer of 2024, in NY, date and place to be determined and announced at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, family request all donations be submitted to Good Shepherd Hospice, Sebring, FL.

Elaine, Marcia, and Michelle I was in shock when I heard about Jerry.. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all

I was Jerry´s switch driver when he worked for Jen-bar trucking we would meet in the parking lot of Kohl´s across the street from the Albany post office and swap trailers.we would go over and load up mail and head back to our starting points , you wouldn´t think hanging around laughing and talking just one hour a night you could get to know someone but I think I did Jerry is funny , loud ,boisterous, opinionated ,thoughtful, caring and most of all a genuinely great guy. we kept in touch after...

I'm so sorry to hear Jerry has passed my condolence go to his mama Lane and his sisters may God help you through this troubled time
