Gerald Stuart Witherspoon

I don't know if anybody reading this would know me, but I was a freshman at Goddard College in 1970-71, when Jerry was the college president. I got to know Jerry and his family very well. Although I was only at Goddard one year, I have many pleasant memories of my time there, including with the various Witherspoons. My deepest condolences to Gerry's family and friends. I had the privilege to work with him on several conservatorship cases. His intelligence, creativity and compassion were a gift to his clients. Thank you for this beautifully written obituary.

I had the good fortune to know Jerry for many years and to work with him on a number of cases. He was a kind, generous, giving person who clearly made a difference in the lives of so many people. My condolences to his former law partner Larry Siracusa and his firm and to his family. His smile lit the way for many, more than I could have imagined. A beautiful tribute that he richly deserved.
