Collier’s Funeral Home - Saint Ann Obituary

It is with a heavy heart we announce that Gerald “Jerry Womack” passed away on February 4th, 2019.  He is now joined in Heaven with His Mom, Dad and sister Helen. He was born on November 9th, 1943 in Mexico, Missouri to Hollie and Nancy Womack.

After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country.  Upon completing his term he went to work for GM and was offered a transfer to the West Virginia plant. With his sense of adventure, he jumped at the chance and headed cross country.  The first person he met in the state of West Virginia was a beautiful waitress at the diner where he stopped to eat. On June 7th, 1969 he and the beautiful waitress (Judi Stanley) were married and began a beautiful, loving life together.  Their first born was a daughter Nikki, and their son Hollie "Lee" Womack was born less than 2 years later. Jerry will always be remembered for his strong love and devotion to his family, his sense of humor, genuine loving personality, contagious smile, patriotism, and pure selflessness.  He was and is dearly missed by his friends and family and will be forever in our hearts. Surviving Jerry is his beloved wife Judith (Judi) Womack, daughter Nikki Rubin, son Lee Womack, Cherished Grandsons Dylan Becraft, Gavin Womack, Elliott Womack and Cherished Granddaughters Morgan Becraft and Connor Becraft (The fearsome 5).  He is also survived by his loving son-in-law Greg Rubin, his siblings Larry and Kathy and several loving brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.

Jerry opted for cremation and did not wish to have a large service.  We appreciate all who played a role in his life. We ask that if anyone wishes to send flowers, that you would rather send a donation to The Wounded Warrior Project in his honor.  You can donate by clicking on the following link https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/default.aspx?tsid=10043&ovr_acv_id=5246
