I was actually thinking about the two of them this week. This quarantine gave me a lot of time to reflect and I recalled them as they were joyous in life and in marriage. And they were funny. It didn't matter which "Gerry" I was talking to - I was laughing. I was just an acquaintance of the two of the - but they both made a lasting impression.

Actually - I think of both the Bankoff's often. They were a source of inspiration for married couples and showed us how to love well and age well. And they cracked me up with their conversation. We need more people like them in the world to show the rest of us how to do life and marriage over the years.

I had the privilege and pleasure of making the acquaintance of both your parents. They brightened my day every time I saw them. They were funny and sweet and always very warm and witty. My condolences on the loss of Gerry.
