Not sure what to say?

To Geri's Family,

I worked with Geri at BHCC. She was a great person full of passion for her students, BHCC, the Union and life itself.

I will remember Geri fondly.

My sympathy and prayers,

Geri was my student, my professional colleague, and fellow faculty-staff union activist at Bunker Hill Community College. She did everything with complete focus, energy, and humor, a true pillar of the college. Everyone will miss her.

I first met Gerri when I was a student at BHCC in 1977 and she was the student coordinator of the SIMSOC program. Gerri and I later worked together in the Learning Center until I left in 1990. At this time I am remembering her wonderful smile, her mischievous wit, the breadth of her knowledge and the tireless advocate she was for many community college students. As a single parent herself, she was a role model for many of those single parent students returning to school, myself included. ...

I travelled on several spring tours with Geri and will remember an eight hour layover in Heathrow where we chatted the night away, four of us and bonded in a special way. I will see her in my mind's eye in Greece and Italy, intrepid traveller. I will remember her in my prayers at the Glastonbury Abbey when I ask the powers that be to listen to me. Ellen Kelly, Masssasoit Community College.

To Geri's Family:

I am an employee at the MCCC and knew Geri from her affiliation with the union in attending meetings here. Geri was a wonderful woman and I loved her personality. My prayer to you all at this time is that God would comfort you during this difficult time.

God Bless

I am very sorry to here of Geri's passing. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.

We will all miss Geri and her dedication to higher education and union activism. She was a true unionist.

To Geri's children: I lived across the street from your mother on Broadway and attended St. Joseph's School with her (your mother was very smart in school as I remember). Our neighborhood "gang" had great fun playing kids' games on summer evenings and spending time out in the woods being adventurous. Your mother is an integral part of those memories though I lost contact with her after we both married. I am very sad to learn of her death.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Geri......she was my colleague and my friend. God be with you all....
