Not sure what to say?

Dear Desch Kids,
I was so sorry to learn this morning of your Mom's passing - I ran into Aunt Dot at Mass today and she let me know. Wish I could have been there yesterday to celebrate her wonderful life with you. I have such great memories of her! You are all in my prayers.

I am sitting at a B & B in Oregon wishing I was at the memorial service for my good friend and sharing my sadness with the Desch "kids". Please know that my heart is with you today and that I will miss Gerry!
Joanne

We all loved your Mother very much and feel the incredible loss for your entire family. Gerry was my Mom's best friend. I know they enjoyed their times together going to dinner, for walks and to the theatre. Gerry would call me to talk and we shared so much...in fact, Gerry also loved my husband, Tom and tried her best to take him... What a hoot she was!
We will pray for your entire family and share your grief at thist time

Our family loved Gerry so much. We know that the friendships between our Mothers was deep and true. We cried and laughed together a lot. Gerry was always concerned for my Mom... AND she was also "in love" with my husband, Tom (and not afraid to tell him every chance she could!) HA!
We are deeply saddened at her passing and will keep your family in our prayers... Love, Tom & Sandy Vogel

Thinking of you all at this time. Wendell Ellenwood,The Ohio Union, OSU

Sending my condolences to Mike and the entire Desch family. You are a wonderful family, and I always enjoyed talking with your mom when I would run into her. She was very kind.
My heartfelt sympathies, Susie Danis Grossmann

I greatly enjoyed my many stimulating discussions with Gerry while she was here at MVCC. Gerry's matter-of-fact and very caring approach was refreshing and comfortable. I learned over time that she was a very loving person. I miss her and our conversations. I suspect that I will for a long time.

Truly a beautiful person. Gerry always had a smile or some wise insight. I hadn't seen her in years, yet somehow she always recognized my voice on the phone when I would call the MVCC. She will be missed, indeed.

I had the pleasure of working with Gerry at MVCC before moving to North Carolina. It was a difficult time for Gerry due to her own health concerns and the loss of her son. Through it all, Gerry demonstrated a calm wisdom and her strength was an inspiration to all of us. My deep condolences to all of the Desch family.
