Not sure what to say?

I apologize for being so long in writing to extend my deepest sympathy to the Hayes family. I will always remember Mrs. Hayes' kindness and graciousness. Her lovely spirit will remain with all who knew her.

Sincerely,
Marge Carroll,
former SJF parishioner

Dear Peter, Mary and Family:
We were so sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. Ann and I remember her fondly from your wedding. She was charming and gracious, and obviously thrilled on that great occassion. We are so sorry that this note is so late in coming, but we only just learned of her death. I am sure that your mother loved being around her large and wonderful family, and that your memories of her are very special. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I first met your Mom and Dad when they were the monitors of a SJF teen group I belonged to with a dozen or so of my and Marty’s classmates and they graciously hosted our meetings in your home. We spent hours discussing all the faith and life issues teens faced during the turbulent years of the late 1960's and early 1970s. Her welcoming, non-judgmental nature and openness to discussing any subject made it easy for all of us to open our hearts and share our deepest, most secret fears. I...

I will always remember how Mrs. Hayes let our 6th grade class do the wonderword puzzle each week from the Sunday Chicago Tribune. She was a wonderful teacher, always making time for her students when they need some extra help to understand something.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. I have always enjoyed Mrs. Hayes company and conversation. It meant so much to both of us to enjoy her company at the lake on July 8th. Hoping wonderful memories will help you all through this trying time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hayes' clan.

We know you will all miss her dearly.

All our love,
Jon and Mary LeBaron

It was a privilege to know Mrs. Hayes. A great, big heart and she could see right into my soul.

Condolences to her numerous and marvelous descendents, to her friends, to the whole world.

To the Hayes Family,

I was very sorry to hear about your Mother. She was a great neighbor to my parents on Fairfield. I enjoyed the times visiting them and sitting on their front porch and she would stop over and chat. And like I told her once, I still remember seeing your family at Mass at Fisher. I thought your Mom was the most beautiful woman at church. She has a great family and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
