Geraldine H. Kidd

Geraldine H. Kidd, 88 of South Charleston passed away Friday January 29, 2016 at Genesis Valley Center. Her health had been failing for a few years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in South Charleston. She enjoyed working for many years in retail sales, The Diamond, Stone and Thomas, Risk's, Roseann's and Faith's Hallmark. She lived a full and happy life spending time with family, friends and neighbors. She was born August 2, 1927 in Virginia to Maude and Shelton Harrison. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Shelton Harrison; sisters, Mary Wright and Catherine Cook. She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Patricia and Al Morris of Cherryville, NC and Jim and Polly Kidd of South Charleston. Grandsons; David (Lori) Paterno, Brian (Michelle) Paterno and Josh Kidd, five great-grandchildren and her twin sister and best friend, Madeline Miller. A Committal Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the West Virginia Mausoleum at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes on Monday, February 1, 2016 with Pastor Jody Pistore officiating.
