Not sure what to say?

I just saw this. She was my favorite professor at Eastern. I'm sure you've heard that a lot. She was such a special person. I've thought about her a lot over the years.

Mrs. Kruse was an amazing teacher and was instrumental in pushing her students to be their best. I will never forget her.

Today, February 3,2023 I was just thinking about my career as I was updating LinkedIn. I thought about Geraldine Krause. Looking her up to find that she had passed away this last September. First my condolences to all her family. Reading the obituary brought tears of happiness that the family wrote a fantastic story of the woman, next to my own mother, both inspired (drove) me into the career I have had. I had the opportunity to roast her when she retired from EMU. I am but one of...

I have so many memories of Professor Kruse while I was a student at EMU. She guided me into my career in Accounting, pushed me to grow Beta Alpha Psi and sponsored me in pioneering the Accounting Honors program at EMU. She was perfectly adept at demanding excellence while also nurturing your spirit. She was tough, honest, fair and kind. I smile when I remember her riding her bike or cross country skiing to work. I fed off her spirituality when I saw her at St. John´s. I, like...

My deepest condolences on the passing of "Gerry". She was a dear colleague of mine at EMU and College Heights neighbor. We often walked together, and whenever we met she always asked about me, my wife and our son. She was a deeply caring person, a wonderful professor, and genuine friend. We will always remember her. Sincerely, Russ and Brigitte Merz

Mrs. Kruse is the reason I changed my major to Accounting, I never worked so hard in my life for an A! Out of all my professors, she is the one I remember best. She was an amazing lady, condolences to those who loved her. Anne S. Class of 1983

I am so very sorry for your loss. Professor Kruse was by far my favorite teacher at EMU. Once she took me to lunch because I aced a test. I still have the essay booklet in my possession 30+ years later. She invited me to be the student speaker at the honors convocation in 1989. It was a great honor and I treasure the memory of her choosing me. I hope the outpouring of condolences and the memories of how much Gerry meant to all of her students helps you during this time of grief.

Mrs. Kruse was always thought provoking and quick witted with such a deep sense of family and religion. I was so thankful to have her as Katherine's mom to guide us both through our experiences at Hope College. I was blessed to know her and know we will all feel her presence around us.

My husband jim and I loved our conversations with your beloved Gerry. She and jim both loved tennis and we enjoyed seeing her in highpoint in Florida. We will miss her this winter. Our deepest condolences to all of you. Dee and Jim Gough
