To the Alvarez family, I didn't know Geraldine personally, but, I attended Mt. Carmel and my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry for her suffering and loss to the family. Faith, family and friends always allow people to gain strength and hope at times like this.

Dearest John and Alvarez Family, my Dominican years were some of the happiest of my life! Geri was such a presence, even as a girl! She was the epicenter, along with Aida. So many great times with Lucie and Carmen, too. My heart swells with love from my memories of wonderful Geri. My heart breaks for all of you! She embraced life like the great athlete she was! Tough, funny and kind! I feel so blessed to have had those few special years with her! Love you always Geri!
