Growing up in Sunnyside, NY was the best because of people like Gerrit. Gerri was another mother to all kids even though I was raised in the second apartment bldg on 39th Street. I spoke to her about a month ago to let her know I moved to Fl. We remembered and talked of the good old days
My condolences to Dennis and all her family. She will be missed.

Karen & Bobcat, we had such great times and memories growing up together with Aunt Gerri, she was such a great woman. She will be missed!

Grandma I think about u everyday. I think about childhood memories like how we would go grocery shopping every Friday and u would take me out to eat.. Either to the diner or chuck n eds and you had me hooked on cheeseburgers with no bun. You were such a good grandma you would give me and my sister and our kids your last. Dear Bob,Karen,Rachel&family, This is really hard for me after loosing my mother this month also!Ireally loved your mom,I have alot of great memories with her and she got me the job @chuck&eds,gave me my 1st and probabaly last dr.pepper,she also had a really nice baby shower for me when I was pregnant with my son Matthew and she had a hand knitted blanket done for him which I still have!She loved going to bingo with my mother....I guess their in heaven playing bible bingo...

My deepest condolences for your loss. I will never forget Gerri. She always had a smile on her face and a big heart. We go way back and what great times we had. DearKaren,Boband Rachel,i feel truly blessed to have known Aunt Sis, yes, she will always be lovingly remembered as Sis. I had many good times with her and anytime i was with her she could make me laugh.She was always so giving, she sold me her car when i needed one. We had good times at bingo and at Chuck and Ed's where she would hang out.I think she would like it if i had a Dr. Pepper in her honor. Cheers !Aunt Sis until i see you again<3 Your niece, Susan
