Geraldine L. Stitt

Geraldine L. Stitt, age 78, of Massillon, passed away Wednesday. She was born June 12, 1934 in Massillon, daughter to the late Clyde H. and Martha E. (Muermann) Stitt. She was retired from AEP, and was a member of First Christian Church of Massillon, the Wilderness Center, Canton Camera Club, The Lincoln Highway Club and the Audubon Society. Geraldine still considered herself a member of the Massillon Swing Band. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her twin brother James Paul Stitt and daughter, Karen Lynn Yoho. Survivors include her three children, Linda Irons of Bellevue, Ohio, John Paul (Eva) Yoho of Alliance, Julia (John) Crawford of North Canton; five grandchildren, Josh (Tabbi) Early, Jerrod (Kristin) Dickson, Sydney Yoho, Paige Yoho and Logan Crawford. Funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:00am in First Christian Church in Massillon with Rev. Steven R. Gower officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held Sunday afternoon from 1-3pm in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW. as well as one hour prior to the service on Monday from 10-11am in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wilderness Center.
