Not sure what to say?

When Gerard F. Doherty leaves an imprint on your heart, you are forever changed. 3 years ago today - Gerry, where has the time gone? Distance did not separate us, as we were a telephone call away. You would say, "at least I am on the right side of the ground". No! You are above us, looking down, smiling, and guiding us! And, you, my friends, are sorely missed!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Thank you Mr.Doherty for always being so kind and generous with us, I'm sad we found out too late, but you will always be remembered, we'll keep you in our prayers.
You were always the sweetest and such a gentleman, it was a pleasure serving you.God has you in his keeping, we have you in our heart.
God bless you
-Cindy from the Merchant

There will never be another Gerard Doherty.
He was one of a kind and will be missed terribly.

Many fond memories with the Lyons family in Milton. My favorite - you would ask Gerard if he would like something to drink and he would ask do you come in liquid form ? A fabulous sense of humor. So blessed to have had him in my life through my older sister Maryellen. He lived a full life and was a wonderful human being. Im sad. Joan Lyons Milch

Working in Teddy's first campaign started my down my life's journey. Gerry had a big influence on my life in politics as a State Legislator and working with the homeless in Colorado. He will always be remembered for the extraordinary person that he was. My prayers are with him and his family.

Our world has lost a wonderful gentle man and the truest essence of a humane being we will ever know. We were all blessed to have his guidance. He made a tremendous difference in the lives of others, a legacy of love, hope, and faith. His endless dedication to serving others and his life committed to quality public service is unmatched. With deepest sympathy,

Regina, so sorry to hear of your loss. I will remember you and your husband in my prayers. Your friend Leo Foley

It was an honor and a privilege to have known and worked for, and with Gerry in the Massachusetts Legislature. Gerry helped in getting me my first job wich lasted 40 years. I send my sympathy and grievances to his family . . . May he Rest In Peace.
