Not sure what to say?

On behalf of myself and my family I wish to extend to the family of Fr. Gannon our sincere condolences. He served as pastor here at St Thomas for many years and will be remembered fondly by my children who attended the parish school, and served as alter servers, and organists during those days. I have no doubt that he is now with the Lord whom he served so long and so faithfully. He will remain in our hearts and our prayers.

It was an honor to serve as an alter boy when you were at Nativity Parish in Scranton, Pa. You were "Steel wrapped in velvet"

Father Gannon was blessed with the Irish wit. He was a very spiritual man and St. Thomas was his life. May God Grant him eternal rest

A blessing to our Parish,he shall be missed.

It pains me to hear of Father Gannon's passing. Since the day I was born, he had been the Pastor of Saint Thomas, I still thought of him in that position even after he retired. Always good to my family, he agreed to do my niece's Baptism, even though he was still recovering from illness. Although I'm sure he did the same for many after his retirement, it made us all feel special. I am sorry that I will be unable to attend the funeral, but it makes me happy to know that Heaven has another angel.

My Pastor, my friend, my confidant. Father was part of my life for 30 years. We had such wonderful discussions and he was one person I could trust. He has guided me through good times and bad, never being judgemental. I have great respect for him and will miss him with all my heart. No matter where I traveled, St. Thomas was always my home. May he rest in peace.

Father Gannon was my friend when I was a high school student at South Catholic. To me, Fr. Gannon was the model of what Jesus wanted his disciples to be, do, and say. A diminutive man, his attitude of sincere respect and love for others gave him a pixie presence, yet he was strong in many ways. Fr. Gannon was one of my favorite Christian models.

We were married in St Maria Goretti ( which was housed in the Oblates in Jenkins at that time) in 1974. I recall Father telling us we were one of his first marriages there. Father Gannon was one of the kindest, most understanding priests who made us feel extremely comfortable talking to him as we went through our pre nuptial meetings. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

I was a long time friend of Fr Gannon. I spent time with him at Hank's cottage at the lake. He celebrated my wife's and my marriage. He also celebrated my daughters and her husbands marriage. I coached basketball both at Nativity and at St Thomas while he was there. I was avid in helping him with fund raisers at St Thomas. I loved and respected him very much and although I have not seen him in a few years, will miss him. God rest his soul.
