Gerard A. Rault Jr.

Went through boot camp with him in 1968. Platoon 2062. I remember he was Honor Man for the platoon and our series. Didn´t hear where he went after boot camp, the majority of us headed to Vietnam. Much respect for this mans storied career. John Hyatt [email protected]

I went to bootcamp with Gerald in 1968 at MCRDSD. He was wise beyond his years and was respected by all in Platoon 2062, even by the drill instructors who gave Gina minimal amount of leeway Rest I peace Marine , we have the watch now. Fair winds and following seas.

I first met Gerry in NOLA around 2002, and we became quite friendly acquaintences. In later years, I would run into him in Bangkok, when he'd come up from Hua Hin for a visit. I always enjoyed spending time with him, and I'm glad he spent his last days with family. He'll be missed.

I was so, so sorry to hear about Gerry's passing. I think of him often and the 'rooms' are not the same without him. My deepest condolences to the Rault family.
