Obituary

Gerard Joseph Robertson died Thursday, April 15, at Beth Israel Hospital, New York City.

The son of Anne Robertson of East Stroudsburg and the late Thomas Robertson, Gerard graduated from Notre Dame High School, 1977, Pennsylvania State University, 1981 and 1982, with an advanced degree in Arts & Sciences, majoring in architecture.

A member of the International Interior Designers Association for 20 years, Gerard worked for HLW, the Mohawk Group, in New York City as well as several other major manufacturers in the United States and abroad, designing new products.

His designs have been featured in several commercial interior design publications. He also served as a juror at the Neo-Con Exhibition in Chicago for several years.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24 at St. Matthew's Church, East Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Notre Dame High School or to the charity of one's choice.

Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Robertson and family,
I was heart broken to learn of the passing of a friend and classmate from Penn State. Life spreads us all apart over time but my memories of Gerry will always be of laughter and love. We all had such a great time together at PSU and Gerry was loved by all of us. I send you my families love and wish you peace during this period. God Bless You. Jerry, Cindy, Justin and Jessi Kambic

Dear Mrs. Robertson and family:
I was saddened to learn of your loss. My mom keeps all of us up to date on what's going on in Stroudsburg and around the rest of the country, where we all have scattered. Gerard had a special spot in the hearts of his classmates at ND..and from reading the messages in this guest book, it sounds as if he made many more friends along the path of his much-too-short life! My thoughts are with you all.

Gerard I can't think of you only in the past tense, you are still in my mind so vibrant and alive! I will always remember many laughs with you and especially the long visit after your hip surgery. :-)
You will be missed by your friends and colleagues, dear one.

A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.
