As the original Federal Security Director for TSA at STL, Gerard was one of the first airport executive staff members that I met. From the get-go, he and I got along great and worked well as team. I knew who really ran the airport and that was Gerard. You don't forget the really good guys who were decent, smart and had character, dignity, and high professional standards. Gerard was one of those unique persons and I will never forget him!

Gerard Slay was on of the finest professionals I ever met. As the first TSA Federal Security Director for Lambert in July 2002, Gerard was one of the first persons I met. From day one, Gerard was the go to person if you wanted something done. He was knowledgeable, proactive, decisive, personable and highly respected in my opinion.
