Rod's Family
The Stanford Family would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who shared their memories of Rod over this past year. Today is Rod’s birthday (July 31st) and we can’t help but think about him and how much he enjoyed celebrating it each year. Usually it was a month long event! As we reflect on his life, although we may want to shed tears over his loss (and ours), we know that he would only want us to celebrate his life well lived, and be sure to live our own to the fullest.

I first met Rod at the Navy Reserve Center in Kearney, NJ in 1993. I knew immediately that he had the "gift of gab". The man could charm the birds out of the trees. Fair Winds and Following Seas, Rod.

I'm so sorry to hear about Rod's passing. I knew Rod when he was with SSA. What a pleasure it was to know him. He was always so positive and friendly. A person like that definitely leaves a void in this world. My sincere condolences to his family and girlfriend.

We loved competing against each other in tennis, running and racquetball. He didn't like to lose! We spent a lot of good times cruising the streets of Charleston and going to the beach. We even walked some punishment tours together, and that was nice since I was president of the Century Club! I regret not maintaining contact through the years, but I have...

I am really sad to lose such a colourful person as Rod was. Just meeting him once a year the last 15 years or so, we were great friends. We had great battles at the golfcourse, in Walton on the Hill [GB] and Noordwijk [NL]. I will keep the fine memories alive. I will miss Rod.
My condolences to Michelle and his relatives.
