Not sure what to say?

Thank you all for your kind words and memories. He is rejoicing in heaven!

So many fond memories. As a neighbor, friend, and dear brother in Christ , Gerard was one of the most fascinating individuals that I have ever met. We planned together, laughed together, and spent many hours praying together. I will be looking forward to seeing him again when it is my turn to step over into eternity.

I think Mr. V was the kindest and only true gentleman I have ever known. He was retained as the architect when the bldg. for the restaurant was being transformed. Later he was quite a frequent diner. I came to know him, and some of his family, over the years.
One day he came for lunch and he told me he had a dream that I served him espresso and ate the accompanying lemon twist. It was funny. The next time he came in and ordered the espresso after his meal I served it w/o the lemon twist...

Lisa, so sorry to hear of your Father's passing. Our thoughts and prayer's are with you, your Mother, Joey and your kids.

I have fond memories of Gerard and Willy of their time in Canon City and building their home on a chunk of the Nash Ranch. Gerard would often visit my parents and visa versa. What a fun, intelligent person to be around. Always a smile and kind word for a person or a situation. May all the great memories help Willy and family through a difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. My memories working for Mr Gerard through the years and being part of the Verkaik family is a blessing to me. I can't even begin to express my love for all of you.

Sending our condolences for your loss. Although it has been many years since I had seen Gerard, I remember many great times that he and my father shared over the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Verkaik family during this difficult time.
