I noted previously that Gerhard was one of the most intelligent I have known. One day when I walked next door to see him, he was building a small scale geodesic dome. I had never heard of it before and when he explained it and its physics, I was amazed. And when finished, it performed just as he said! I am so sorry to hear of Gerhard’s passing. I send my condolences to Gudrun, Heidi and Family. Having lived next door, I was always interested in what project he was working on and he would always share his interests and knowledge in fascinating ways - Gerhard was one of the most intelligent people I ever knew, as well as friendly, kind and positive! Though we did not interact over the last many years, he is a person I will always remember and share wonderful stories of growing up next door...
