Gerhard was a good man. May he rest in peace..

Just learning of Gerhard's passing today - please accept my sincere condolences, as well as my dad's, Terry Doulas - who respected him very very much. Wishing his family peace.

Gerhard, I remember you in German with Mrs. Detlefs and German dancing in Seattle. Safe travels on your next journey.

Ahhh, Gerhard, I was just talking about you with other Cathcart folks at the class reunion. We were remembering you as Gerhard Sponholzt. Then your name changed to Schmidt. I remember how proud you were when you got a little sister. Gerhard was very smart in school too. He will always be remembered fondly. God grant his family peace, comfort, and joy in his memories, Amen.

My big brother Gerhard, loved his little sisters so much. He was so proud to be our big brother all his life. He leaves me with great memories of growing up and throughout our adult lives. I have told him he was the hardest working and most generous of people, and he was. Above all, he adored his two kids.
