germaine mary pastoret, 96, a native and lifelong resident of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, in Slidell. Miss Pastoret was the daughter of the late Gaston Louis Pastoret and Vivian Ouder Pastoret. She is survived by a nephew: N. Paul Lajaunie; a niece: Yvonne L. Honea, and many other nieces, and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana,on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at 9:30 A.M.
Miss Germaine was a wonderful person. She told me of the time her Savings and Loan was robbed and she chased after the armed robber.She caught him and received a letter from J. Edgar Hoover. She was fiesty with a giving spirit. She will be missed.

Germaine was a beloved friend and a member of First Presbyterian Church all of her life. She loved to bake wonderful cakes, cookies, pies and pralines. She always made cookies for the youth group whenever they went on retreats and mission trips. She loved doing for others and was a wonderful example of how selfless she was when at the age of 16 she took on the role of mother to her younger siblings when her mother passed away. She commuted to New Orleans for years working on Canal Street...
