Not sure what to say?

I was a classmate of Gerrie's at the University of Hawaii in the late 1960's. We had great fun diving for shells below Diamond Head and as I watch the home movies taken during those carefree days, I recall our good friendship. I am sorry to learn of Gerrie's passing.

Dear Lena,

I am so sorry to see that Gerrie has died. I grew up down the street from him in Ponoka and I know that when you travelled to Alberta, you and Gerrie would come to see my mother, Alice Brekke. I was there for one of your visits, and I was so happy to see how wonderfully Gerrie's life had worked out. I was also very happy that when Gerrie came to a high school reunion in Ponoka, I got a chance to reconnect with him. He was one of those people that you are so glad...

We are so sorry to hear of Gerrie's passing. He lived a fulfilling life with an impressive career and beautiful loving family. Hopefully that makes this difficult time a bit more comforting for the family. Sending our love to you all.

Lene, Kirsten and John,
Vello and I are so thankful that we had Gerrie in our lives even though it was too short. He was so loving to Marie and I thank him so much for that. He is greatly missed but our memories of him will go on forever. Love

Leslie Family,
I am reminded of wonderful memories growing up next door to you all. May you find love and comfort in the days ahead.
Much love

Dear Lene, Kirsten and John Gerrie,
My heart is saddened by learning of your loss of your dear one. We have so many fond memories of our friendship together as neighbors! All of you are in my prayer and thoughts. Let the memories of the special times in your lives woth him hold you up during this time of suffering. Would love to keep in touch with all of you. Love Always, Anelda Derhalli

Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may...
