Dear Family,

We were sadden to hear of Gerrit's death. We have such fond memories of him. He was such a good man, an example to all those who knew him.

Our thoughts are with you. Sorry we will not be able to visit the family, or come to the funeral as we are in Florida.

May the wonderful peace and presence of our Lord minister to you all now, and in the days ahead.
