Gerry Lee Mims

Gerry Lee Mims age 77 of Crossville, Tennessee died on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.

He was born on November 28, 1947 in Michigan to the late Alvin and Mary Catherine Beard Mims and has been a resident of the area since 1997. Gerry attended school in Michigan. He then joined and served in the United States Marine Corps. When his service was complete, Gary spent his working career at General Motors until his retirement. After retirement, he moved to Spring City and then to Crossville. Gerry enjoyed mowing his yard and travelling the world. He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church.

Gerry is preceded in death by his brothersIvan, Wesley, and Harold, and his sisters Rose and Renee.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years Mildred Garrison Mims of Crossville, Tennessee; his children Bryan and Beckie; his brothers Larry, Donnie, and Thomas; and his sister Harniett.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Johnson Stand Cemetery in Grandview. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
