Gert passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015. Gert was a resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida at the time of his passing. He was married to Rebecca. A service will be held in the Sanctuary of Beach Church, 325 7th Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 2, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Beach Church, 325 7th Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250; to the Beaches Chapel Impact Center, 610 Florida Boulevard, Neptune Beach, FL 32266; or to a favorite charity of your choice.

Dear Becky and Family....I was so sorry to learn of Gert's passing in April 2015.I have very fond memories of both of you during our years at the Darien Methodist Church,and taking with Gert during and after he left St.Regis while I was still with The old Union Trust and then with U.S.Trust.He was a wonderful joyous loving family man with a great sense if humor...when you and he moved to Ponte Vedra with the family, I really missed taking with him and associating with both of you in the...
