Dear, Phillip and Amy, Although I never knew Gertie personally, I felt like I did through Susie. She loved him so much and shared who he was with me. I know she still misses him and I miss hearing about how special he was! Love to you, suzie Gavin ALTENBURG

Dear Amy and Phillip,
I never had the pleasure of meeting Gertie but I feel that I knew him through Susie. I know he was so special to her and that she loved him dearly as so many did. I can't imagine the pain that you must be experiencing but I can only hope that you somehow get to the other side of your grief. Ted and I are hoping that the light that Gertie was to so many will shine on as he passes to another place of love and fulfillment.

A place where he can see and we all know he is hunting and eating his chicken wings! We also know he is with a special friend named Margot. They are truly called special for great reason.

Dear Amy Phillip and Liesel, How saddened we were to hear of the passing of your dear son Gertie, He was so nice to this crowd from Va. when we all met in St. Louis we loved him from the start.
