Gertie was a steadfast member of Alpha Gamma Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, serving as its president in 1966-68. She never lost interest in the chapter nor its members hosting a meeting two summers ago. She was always ready with a funny story or a good piece of advice. What a remarkable woman. She will be greatly missed.
