Mrs. Badger was a tough teacher at the University of Akron. Boy did I learn about phonics!! I still think of her whenever I hear someone say a sound wrong!! I have taught elementary school for 30 years with the Buckeye School system in Medina County. What a glorious and full life she lead!

I was saddened to hear of your mother's passing. I want you to know what an impact she had on my life. As an Elementary Education student, she took a special interest in me and I can truly say that it wasn't until I met her that I believed I could succeed as a teacher.
