Gertrude Carlson

My Mother Mary FitzSimmons Verderame was part of this Nursing Group from St Raphael's. The obituary brought back many memories of old 3rd main floor conversations I had with my Mom. They were a tight knit group...Helen Maiorano, Millie Barone. My Mother unfortunately passed in 1983 at just 59. Hopefully she will be greeting her classmates as they join her in heaven.

My sympathy to Lori and the family. I spent many days at the Carlson home during my teen years and will always remember Mrs. Carlson as a sharp, witty and oh so savvy mother. It was impossible to pull the wool over her eyes! In addition she was as bright as she was competent and a stylish dresser always. RIP Gertie- I will remember you fondly.
