Read MoreWe just found out about your loss. Trudy and I attended St. Katherine´s High School in Wayne Pa. and Immaculata University graduating in 1958 . I considered her my best friend during that time. We were actually looking her up to try to contact her, and saddened by this . Such fond memories of our youth growing up in a small town.

I worked with Trudy at LBL from 1992 -2000 and was in awe of her abilities and stamina. I learned so much from her. She was truely a role model for women in science and will be sorely missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Trudy as a member of the EX-Ls Retiree Association and her participation on the UC Berkeley Advisory Board. Trudy was wise and kind council. I admired her as a woman scientist and thoughtful leader. I enjoyed her quiet sense of humor and smile. She will be missed.
