Trudy Heath - a Mom, Nana, sister, friend, and devoted member of her community died peacefully on November 19, 2025, surrounded by family in Goshen, NH.

She was born on May 25, 1938 in Sunapee, NH, daughter of Urho and Alice (Stone) Anderson.

Trudy graduated from Simonds Free High School (Warner)in 1956 and Plymouth State Teacher College in 1960. She taught for two years in Troy, NH, and 25 years at Newport High School as a business teacher, “loving every minute”.

After retiring, she moved to Springfield, NH and so began a deep love for her town and community. Her volunteer work reflected her generous heart, and her belief that small acts of kindness make a huge difference in this world.

A true people person, Trudy had a gift for making connections. She loved conversations, laughter, and time spent with those she cared about. Her family was her greatest joy. She cherished every gathering, every phone call, and every shared story. To her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, she was a steady source of love and support.

Trudy was predeceased by her infant daughter, Donna, her parents, her brother, Frank, and sister, Dorothy. She is survived by three daughters: Judith Izzo (Steve), Jeanne Akpan (Mark), Susan Carpenter (Mike) and 7 grandchildren: Ashley (Hank), Paris, Megan (Travis), Alex (Hernán), Steven, Jillian (Izzy), Brendan; four great grandchildren: Madison, William, Charlotte, Hadley; siblings: Dena, Howard (Cynthia), Robert (Phyllis), William (Sue), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, December 14 at the Springfield, NH Meeting House, 4 Corners Road, at 11:30 A.M.  Private burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springfield Historical Society, PO Box 6, Springfield, NH 03284.

Not sure what to say?

Trudy was my absolute favorite teacher and she took her students of our class of 1973 out for a nice dinner together. She was always such a sweet lady and I have thought of her several times since I graduated. I’m so sorry for your family’s loss

Very sorry to hear of the loss of a Beautiful lady...

R.I.P Trudy. You will be missed by many.

RIP Mrs. Heath.

She was an excellent teacher to miss while I was in High School. May she rest in peace

My condolences to the family. She was an inspiration to me in school. First as my Home Ec teacher where she furthered my sewing skills and allowed me in her room whenever I had time. She also taught cooking classes. Then as my teacher for many business classes. Through the years I would run into her at various times and we loved catching up. She was a sweetheart.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Health's passing. I remember her as being a caring person and soft spoken lady. I was a student of hers in the late 60's. She touched so many former students hearts. May she rest in peace.

May God assist you in your flight heavenward, Trudy. Saying a prayer for you every day.

I am very sorry for her family! Sending Condolences! I knew her when I attended Newport High School in the mid-70s. Mrs. Heath was a wonderful teacher!
