I JUST found out about the passing of this wonderful woman. Gertie babysat my son for me when he was small. I never worried about him while he was at her house. I knew he was in loving hands. She was the best babysitter we ever had. Gertie also rented me a room in the back of her house when I had no where else to live. She was a bright light in a sometimes dreary world. She will now get to spend Christmas with her husband, her son, and Jesus. I can only imagine how happy she is and how big...

Grandma today is the day that we will lay you to rest. I know that you are with your loved ones and are at peace. We will miss you very much but, will also cherish the times that we spent together. Love you with all my heart. Paula
