Gertrude (Potash) Slavet, age 98 years, of Roslindale, formerly of Peabody and Needham MA on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Abraham Slavet. Loving mother of Janyce & Payson Greene of Needham, and Robert & Sherry Slavet. Adored grandmother of Alan and his wife Tara (Nussbaum) Greene of Chicago, and Evan and his wife Ashley (Shaw) Greene, of Brooklyn, NY. Dear sister of the late Isaac, Samuel, Dr. Jack, and Leon Potash, Bessie Schneider and Sadye Berman. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Friday, July 6 at 10:00am. Burial in the North Russell St. Shul Cemetery, 232 Fuller St., Everett. Shiva at the home of Janyce & Payson Greene, through Wednesday evening. Remembrances may be made to Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, C/O Recreational Program Fund, 1200 Centre St., Roslindale, MA. 02131.
