Not sure what to say?

I was just looking at the calendar thinking I had to send flowers for her birthday. Now, I send prayer knowing she is with all those she loved that have gone before her and a special prayer for all those she has left behind. Erin, my deepest condolences to you, I know how much she meant to you. Aunt Gert will always hold a special place in my heart.

I am so sorry for your loss Erin. Your grandma was so blessed to have such a loving, caring granddaughter. Your loved showed thru in everything you did. God's blessings to you and your family as you deal with your loss.

Carol Morton

'Aunt' Gert will always be a cherished member of the Geiger family as much as she was her own. She and my Mother, Hannah, went on many adventures together throughout their lives. Gertrude left positive impressions on all that knew her. She is missed.

Offering our deepest condolences during this time.

Gertrude I will never forget you. You treated me like a daughter through my teenage years, you made the flowers for my wedding and you celebrated when I had my 1st child. You sent me letters when I lost 2 children because you understood and again when I lost my mom. Thank you for all you did. You were a kind and giving woman. Now you can be at rest and be with Laird, David and Lisa once again.

I have fond memories of Gert from my childhood on Ninth St. She and our Mom Betty were neighbors and friends and Laird and I were the same age and friends. I still have the Hostas she gave to me 30+ years ago growing in my yard. I also can't make choc chip cookies with her recipe without thinking of her and thanking her for sharing it all those years ago.

I am very sorry for your loss.

Gert's ninth street neighbors cherished her as well. From my childhood playing with the kids, baking Gert's own chocolate chip recipe cookies, camping with the family at Cook's Forrest, to adulthood enjoying Gert as a neighbor, I was fortunate to have known and loved her. She had an infectious laugh that I will always remember.

I know that I speak for my family in expressing sorrow for your loss.
