Gertrude Van Someren

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

We express our sincere sympathy to the family of Gertrude. Bernard was our cousin and Bernie and Gert were always wonderful to our family. My father, Rev. Clarence Groot died at a young age and Bernard and Gert often had us over, my mom and brother and sister and I and were so good to us.
Gertrude had a long and blessed life. May God give you comfort and peace.

Brings back many memories from so long ago here in New Jersey! As a classmate of Ellen and second cousin of Dave, my sincere sympathies to all of you in the passing of your mom.

What a neat, wonderful person! I always liked Gertrude, who was a good longtime friend of my mom (Ethel). God's peace and comfort to all of you family members.

Aunt Gert was a beautiful lady inside and out. Our sympathy to the family. It is a comfort to know that the loving arms which now embrace your mom are the very same arms holding you close in your sadness. May the many memories sustain you in the days and weeks ahead.

Gert is leaving this world to be with her Lord and Savior, but is leaving behind many memories for us. All the summers that the whole family came to WI for a week's vacation. Bernard married us and even camped on the farm before the ceremony,
Gert had a real positive attitude toward life and was a very talented quilter, and late artist. She thought her family to be kind and gracious people. I loved her sense of humor.
Your mom has left you with a strong faith, love and companion...
