Gil was a lovely man. I rented his co-op on West 18th Street in Chelsea way back in 1993. He was so nice to me. I remember visiting his apartment in Chelsea Garden Apartments and he was so proud that he wallpapered it with bolts from one of Barbra Streisand's homes. Many good times seeing him in Fire Island Pines. Goodbye Gil. You made Chelsea what it is today. Condolences to friends and family.

Having known Gil since the early 1990's, it's been a privilege to see such fortitude and resilience in his attitude of life, never letting the negative things drag him down, always finding the joy of life in all situations.
