GILBERT “GIBO” DANIEL CORDERO, 65, a lifelong resident of Garfield, New Mexico, entered eternal life on Friday, October 3, 2025, at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice, surrounded by his loved ones. Born July 17, 1960, to Dora Galindo and Cresencio Gil Cordero, Gibo was known for his warm heart, unwavering faith, and love for the outdoors. A devoted Catholic and hardworking construction professional, he found joy in nature—especially fishing, camping, and his unique fondness for bears of all kinds. He lovingly raised two stepchildren, Thomas Franzoy and Josette Soto (Raul) as his own.

Gibo leaves behind four cherished grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward with love. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Dora and Cresencio.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 9, 2025, at San Isidro Catholic Church, 2003 Loma Parda in Garfield, followed by a Prayer Vigil at 10:30 AM.
