Gilbert Chavez

Times we spent together in school ,working together during our summer vacations at American.Can Co.
Going to concerts at the Civic auditorium..Also spending four years in the Navy at the same time.
Lots of great memories.

Being lucky enough to be invited to boisterous Chavez gatherings I always tried to sit near Dee and Gil. Gil's warm smile and merry eyes were for everyone-- young and old, family, friend or stranger. I know his family misses him terribly and my heart goes out to them all, especially Dee. 66 years is a long time to have someone at your side.

My deepest condolences on the passing of my friend Gilbert Chavez. I knew Gil for many years and met him through our association/employment at the Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a talent recruiter Gil knew many people within the company and beyond. I joined the recruiting team on recruiting trips from time to time in search of engineering talent. Dear Dee and the entire Chavez family,
I am offering you my heartfelt condolences on the loss of dear Gil. Gil, Eph and my dad, Glenn Richter, all met up in the Navy and became very close lifelong friends. Gil and Eph were affectionately referred to as Uncle Gil and Uncle Eph(raim). So many memories spent at one another’s homes, going to the beach, etc. Gil and the rest of the family was much loved. Again, he will be missed. Gil, please give my dad a hug up there in Heaven. ❤
