Not sure what to say?

I am sorry I was unable to attend Gilbert's service. My condolences to his entire family. I so enjoyed working near Catherine and him back in the 90s. They were both so kind. May they Rest In Peace together.

My sincere condolences to the Clark family. I was saddened to learn of Gilbert's passing via Gilby's Instagram message. Gilbert and I met in the early-90s when he was working for Polaroid. Friendly and outgoing it wasn't long before he opened his briefcase and I was educated on his family - and especially Gilby, since I too am a guitarist. We bonded over music and golf. Gilbert was always open to visit new courses, so whenever he was in the Detroit area we made time for a round of golf. ...

I met Gil last summer when I was taking care of his brother, Jerry. Jerry hired me as his caregiver during the later part of the summer through November when he wanted to go to Arizona. Gil and I stayed friends throughout Jerry's death, and would stop by and visit me on his daily walks through the development. He was a great guy and a great friend! I also took care of his two kitties for him whenever he would go visit his daughters. He will be greatly missed!

My condolences to the Clark family. I worked with Gil at the SHFD. He was a special guy and always made me smile. I will miss him.

With deepest sympathy,

Jan Hetzel
