Not sure what to say?

Butch & me(Patty) were so glad to have met Gilbert, so many years ago.

We only met Gilbert once, but we sure like him right away. His wife June is my third cousin from Wisconsin. June's mother, Helen, sang at our wedding in 1960. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Thank you for the wonderful gifts you have bestowed on us over the eyears! Rest well sweet friend, you have left us with wonderful memories. To the family, may the memories of wonderful times with him serve as balm for years to come.

Dearest June, Alison, Ingrid and their families,

You have my deepest sympathies. I had many fond memories of Gil during Gallaudet days and MDAD pageant. He will be sorely missed!

June and Loved ones,

The Gil Eastman legacy shall always be eternally acknowledgement. What he had contributed to the deaf community worldwide is immeasurably rewarding. Thank you, Gilbert for allowing me becoming creative artist of my ASL and poetry during time of my taking your ASL translation for theatre course. It is because that of your encoragement and respect for my individualism, led me into my own unique ASL/English-printed equivalent poetry. Consequently you are sorely missed.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Dearest June and your beautiful family,
Gil was what I could easily call "King Midas" as when he touched everyone's soul, each soul turned gold theatricially. May Gil be greatly blessed with God's golden guidance... I am very much with you, June, in supportive thoughts...
