Gil and I played on the Metz Giants baseball team in France in 1953.He was a fine player with a cannon for an arm at 3rd base and was a good hitter too.He should have had a shot at pro ball after he got out of the army.too bad we didn't keep in touch.I tried a couple of times but no luck.
