Not sure what to say?

I will never forget the first time I met "Gramps" I had never laughed so hard before, or since. I always enjoyed visiting you with Bub,knockin back a couple of cold ones watchin the Duke. You are missed greatly,and will never be forgotten.

This is in remembrance of a very special "Head of the family", Gilbert Howerton, Sr.

It's hard to believe that you are gone. You were my favorite father-in-law for 36 years. You were always there for anyone who needed anything. It's hard to see your favorite chair sitting empty. I don't want to think about a holiday without you at the "Head" of the table. We weren't ready for you to go. The only comforting thought is that you are in...

Pop:
I spent so many years, with the fear of loosing you and tried to say that it would never happen, well the time came. I will miss you more then I can say. I can only hope life for you where ever you are, will be happy . I remember when I was 5 or 6 school was requiring everyone to receive a smallpox vaccination . I knew that if I went home and told you I was afraid, you would say it was ok not to have the shot, and the next day I was standing out side the window looking in...

Mr. Howerton,
Although I only met you once or twice. I see how your family speaks of the love they have for you and I just want to thank you for raising such a loving and generous family. My thoughts are with the Howertons.

Grandpa Howerton, forever in my heart will you live on! You were my real life "John Wayne". I will truley miss your smile and hearing you say "Well Son of a -----." I love you lots!!!! :}

Grandpa,
Throughout my life I have watched and learned from you. You have been the anchor that has held our family together. Whether through a hug or a handshake, I have never doubted the love you possesed for your children and grandchildren. You have set an example that I only wish I may someday live up to. Grandpa...you held my hand for awhile, but you will hold my heart forever. Instead of goodbye...see ya later.One last word-GO CHIEFS!!!!
Love,

Dear Dad,

I heard while I was out of town last week, that a very special person I loved came to live in that house you had been building for him, for quite some time.

I am sure by now (by just sitting and talking to him) you know what a wonderful person he is, and how much he deeply loves his family (mom, dad, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren). I sure hope you remembered how much he loves his recliner and thought to give him a...
