Not sure what to say?

Served with Gil at the 43rd Bde gave me guidance and direction while I was the 1st Sgt for 3 years there. He Really added a stepping stone to my career. Thank you Gil.

I served with CWO and/or CSM Mandy on several occasions in the 1/102 Infantry Battalion. He came from a group of great people [John Marini, Gene Lucente, etal] who spent their careers helping and mentoring others. All that was required was showing them the respect they disserved. My personal experience was enhanced by Gil's patience and the direction he gave to me over the years. He will be missed and I offer my sympathy to his family. LTC Richard (Mac) McKenna, retired

May he rest in peace, and live on in memory ! - Condolence to Karen and all family members

So sorry to learn about Gil´s passing. He was in the service with my father, and they remain friends up until my father´s passing. Jill tried to teach my father, some words and his native Hungarian, my dad attempted to teach Gil some words in our native Italian. That was very funny, listening to them . Gil was always there for us when we were growing up & was a very friendly man. He was "the life of the party" at my daughter´s wedding & he had the entire table in stitches all night long. Rest...

My deepest condolences to all of Gil's family members. He was an especially nice man and a real friend to us younger kids at our visits to Knudsens. God bless all of you.
