Uncle Gil will be remembered as a patient and kind man with a gentle nature and an easy smile. We are thankful that he was a part of our family. He will be missed.

Anyone who knew Gil knows he loved his Navy. For my part, I was fortunate to know him as a golf partner--and to hear a sea story or two over eighteen holes. As a proud and blessed caretaker of the legacy he left us, I'll raise a glass to him Friday evening and croak through a verse of Eternal Father with some of the rest of my favorite sailors. Get some rest, Gil. We have the watch.

Farewell to "one of the members of the best foursomes at Range End". Gil will be greatly missed and was a great friend for many years. Many memories will linger.
