It has taken some time for it all to sink into my head, but I do truly miss you Gilbert. You were a great friend and you always made people smile, especially my wife who loved you in a special way. Anyone who knew Gil would say he was witty,smart,comical,kind,big-hearte
d, and definitely was one of the best in the music business at what you did (besides being one hell of a lead-blues player). We miss you and love you,

I just wanna let you know that I miss looking to my right and seeing you there....I miss every ounce and a half and three quarters of laughter that we shared..Since I met you, I am glad we got to discuss everything from Demolished chords to many other useless things that nobody in the world cared about but YOU!! "Little" Gil was my first cousin. We grew up together (I am three years older). I remember the house on Abundance Street very well. We had many good times there and he was a part of a very loving family. Gil will be missed very much. Love ya, Betty (Reis) Small

You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time, and always. It will not be the same without Gilbert around, he will be missed by all who knew him.  He was great at what he did, and it is obvious he was loved by many and made his way into their hearts, where he will remain forever.
