Gilbert V. Pereida

During the safe fun years of the 50's my family lived on McLeary St. , caddy corner from Gilbert and his family and I always admired his ability to be a very good pitcher in these "Ice House"teams that play on the south side and around Von Ormy,Tx on sunday afternoons.
He was a gentle person that I looked up too and am glad his family shared a neighborly bond with my family, (Maria and Gregorio Romero @ 405 McLeary).
My wife and I send our sincerest condolences to the Pereida Family....

Gilbert ” brought so many gifts to our lives. We will never forget him!
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow
Gilbert leaves a memory no one can steal..In which we are fortunate to be caring for his parrot!! (pepino).And
the special memory of Margie and I (Cecilia) growing up taking the trip to the pet shop with Gilbert for fish food and
parrot food and a pizza at Pizza hut afterwards.. are memeories I wont...
