To the Ratcliff girls, my deepest sympathy for your loss. Your father was a fine man, well remembered by many people in the area. He and your mother were friends, sharing interest in the League of Women Voters. I knew your aunt Carol White, a friend from college, and it was special to find and get to know Betsy, who left us much too young. God bless you.

Its really sad to see such a wonderful Doctor pass away. He was my pediatrician when I was a kid. He will be missed.

He was a great man and Dr loved working with him

A very fine person and physician. Always soft spoken but you could hear the intellect and care in his voice. Enjoyed working with him at the SOM. Rest in peace.

As a member of the first class of the Marshall Univ. School of Medicine I have many fond memories of sharing conversations with Gil. His scholarship, medical expertise, erudite knowledge of virtually any subject, and, most of all, his wry sense of humor will be sorely missed by the Huntington community. Undoubtedly one of the finest & most caring physician I have met. Gentle, kind & compassionate. He was my son's pediatrician and I trusted him implicitly.
