Not sure what to say?

I also am so sorry I missed this notification; ironically I stopped at CVS in Lakeside and the woman at the register has been there 24 years....she told me of Mr Rosenthal´s passing. Mr Rosenthal was my last client when I I was still a PCA caregiver. He was a kind and gracious man. My condolences to the family.

Unsure as to how I missed this, however - he will always be Mr. Rosenthal to me as I worked for SDC as a teenager and saw him many times at the warehouse and he always took a moment to say hello and even coached me on several occasions. These interactions had quite the positive impact and influence on me and carried on to my becoming a pharmacist and then working in that capacity for SDC years later. My thoughts and prayers to all - RIP Mr. Rosenthal

Gilbert was a fine and wonderful man. A life well-lived. We're thinking of the whole Rosenthal clan and wishing you all the best now and always---

I assisted Gilbert many times during his many terms held on the Sheltering Arms Foundation. He was a honest and dear man who truly entered into his heavenly home.

I worked for Standard Drug for 24 years and Gilbert was always a fair and generous employer. Employees were treated well after the sale to CVS. Retirees of SDC met each year for lunch and Gilbert often paid the bill for the December get together. He was a thoughtful and caring person.

So sorry to hear of Gilbert´s passing. He was a great man in life and business and I will be forever thankful for the opportunity he provided me and many others to thrive and learn about business and retailing from a real professional. To the Rosenthal family we send our thoughts and prayers.

Gilbert lived a life very well lived, a consequential life. His many accomplishments, his kindness and his mission to give back and help others will long be remembered.

Gilbert was a very kind and generous person, always greeting you with a smile. He did a lot for non-profits in Richmond with no expectation of recognition. We will miss him- there needs to be many more like him.

He was a true role model of how to live. I am so grateful to have known him.
